Terms of Service

By accessing or using JobKit (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must notify us immediately at support@job-kit.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised use of your account.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any law or regulation.
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information (including fake job postings or resumes).
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or exploit the Service or its AI outputs.
• Use the Service to generate content that is defamatory, harassing, or abusive.
• Share your account with others or resell access to the Service.

4. AI-Generated Content

JobKit uses AI (including OpenAI models) to generate cover letters, resume bullets, interview questions, and other outputs. These outputs are generated automatically and may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all AI-generated content before use. JobKit makes no warranty that AI-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.

5. Subscriptions & Payments

Some features require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. All prices are shown in USD unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed by our payment provider (Lemon Squeezy). Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact support@job-kit.app within 7 days of a charge if you believe a refund is warranted.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, code, and branding are owned by JobKit. You retain ownership of the content you provide (resume text, job descriptions). You grant JobKit a limited licence to process your content solely to provide the Service. AI-generated outputs produced using your inputs are owned by you, subject to OpenAI's usage policies.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular job application outcome will result from its use.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JobKit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings or by contacting support@job-kit.app.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which JobKit is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.
